So first, I was in my grandparents house like it was my own. I was home alone and I went upstairs when I opened the doors to the attic and moved some boxes I found baby skeletons laying next to the fireplace, it was like the fire from the fireplace was the one who killed them years ago. There was few of them and they all were still wearing baby clothes, most of them were missing body parts like the skeletons weren’t “full”. Then my dad came home and when I told him about it he went upstairs and started acting like he knew those babies, like I found their bodies, like they used to be his family or something. After some time he was talking to me about it while looking at the skeletons I told him to drop it. We both went outdoors, my dad went somewhere like nothing happpend and I went I think for a walk or something, I overheard my neighbours saying really wierd stuff, it was like a father and daughter talking, the daughter was young, she asked her dad if he could leave her because she wants to chang, he said no, she responded that she’s gonna be in only panties and wants him to leave. Then on the road I noticed some guy, he was Muslim, had a cross necklace, full body hijab and had some old looking paper in his hand, when he noticed me he started walking towards me , I started running away back towards my house, then more of them appeared, all walking towards me, when I was running towards doors I quickly looked at my dad and screamed something like ‘hide!’ But I think he didn’t had time. Some of the guys went towards my dads and some of them towards me, I opened the doors and went inside when i tried locking the doors i heard them all saying some weird words and then they said something like ‘god if you trust us forgive us for murder!’ They were saying it like they were some cult. I locked the doors and hide inside and then I woke up.
Dreams like the one you've shared can be rich in symbolism and meaning, often reflecting deeper emotions, anxieties, and aspects of your life. Let’s break down the key elements of your dream for a more nuanced interpretation.
Your grandparents' house represents a foundational aspect of your life or childhood. This could symbolize comfort, nostalgia, or unresolved familial issues, particularly if you feel a connection to your childhood or your grandparents. Being home alone may indicate feelings of isolation or independence, suggesting you’re navigating some personal challenges alone.
Finding baby skeletons in the attic is particularly striking. In dreams, attics often symbolize the mind’s attic – memories, secrets, or things you've tucked away. Baby skeletons invoke reflections on innocence lost, unmet vulnerabilities, or possibly repressed memories relating to family dynamics (given they were your father's familial history). The idea that these skeletons were remnants of a tragic event related to fire suggests unresolved trauma—perhaps indicating feelings you haven't processed related to family or childhood events that linger in your psyche.
Your father's familiarity with the skeletons can indicate a shared family secret or an unspoken understanding between you two. It raises themes of generational trauma, where your father may represent thoughts or feelings about family history that you are not addressing directly. Your plea for him to "drop it" signifies a desire to avoid uncomfortable discussions or emotions, representing a conscious choice to not engage with painful pasts.
The overheard conversation between the father and daughter reflects themes of control, autonomy, and the struggle for personal identity. The daughter's desire for change could mirror your feelings about wanting to break free from familial expectations or traditions, or it may reflect your desire for independence.
The group approaching you with chants indicates feelings of persecution or threat, possibly reflecting anxiety about being judged or misunderstood by others. The amalgamation of cultural and religious symbols (e.g., the Muslim individual with a cross) suggests the blending of diverse identities or belief systems, which may point to inner conflict regarding acceptance or understanding of differing social or cultural realities.
Locking the doors and hiding signifies a need to protect yourself from external threats or overwhelming feelings. This instinctual action captures a deep desire for security amidst confusion or a fear of being overwhelmed by forces beyond your control, possibly representing your anxieties about society, family, or external pressures.
Your dream encapsulates a journey through familial and personal fears, exploring themes of trauma, identity, and the quest for safety. It suggests you may be confronting feelings of being overwhelmed by your past, particularly concerning your family dynamics, while also indicating an undertone of yearning for independence and clarity in your relationships.
This dream could serve as a strong reminder that there are parts of your past or current situation that may need to be addressed. Reflecting on these themes in your waking life—such as considering open conversations with family or finding supportive spaces to express these feelings—might help bring clarity and understanding to your circumstances.
